Known bugs, glitches, exploits, whatever you want to call it in the Boktai games. These should eventually be documented somewhere

Boktai 1

  • Muspell can become tripped out and endlessly cycle between rolling into a ball/unrolling (Raphi)
  • Softlock in Sabata's arena in Dark Castle: Defeat sabata, reenter the arena using the north exit, save & quit ("We have retreat glitch at home") (beige)
  • AST key duplication
  • indexed-ptr u16 (Raphi)
  • Cutscene skips (e.g. Sol City, that other dungeon)
  • Diagonal movement tech (e.g. Sol City)
  • Water Demon's Cage skip
  • Stopping on ice (shenef)
  • Footsteps can become inaudible when consuming a speed nut while walking into lava (Raphi)

Boktai 2

  • Clocktower check is bugged in the Japanese version (Raphi)
  • Softlock when trying to start a purification if you got the punish room when loading into the piledriver map (mttkm)
  • Puddle knockback storage (beige)
  • Dream Avenue loading zone glitch with Solar Gun knockback
    • Also works in the Remains desert
  • Garbage text in Treasury sign (aishituzi)

Boktai 3

  • STR from equipment doesn't work (beige)
